Stainless Steel 316 seamless pipes are molybdenum-bearing austenitic stainless steel conduits manufactured to ASTM A312 / ASME SA-312 TP316. The grade carries UNS S31600 designation with a nominal composition of 16.0–18.0% chromium, 10.0–14.0% nickel, and 2.00–3.00% molybdenum by weight. These alloying elements deliver strong resistance to chloride pitting and crevice corrosion in marine and chemical processing environments.

SS 316 seamless pipes have a minimum tensile strength of 515 MPa (75 ksi), yield strength of 205 MPa (30 ksi), and elongation of 35%. Seamless construction eliminates the weld seam. This produces a uniform grain structure capable of handling higher internal pressures than welded alternatives at the same wall thickness.
